Coming from a musical background, Gerard Placide began his quest as a soloist
at the tender age of three. A native of Trinidad and Tobago, he now esides in Atlanta, Georgia. Gerard served as a Minister of Music at his former church, The Cathedral at Chapel Hill where the late Bishop Earl Paulk was overseer. He also serves as a soldier in the United States Army 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, GA.

Gerard’s parents, particularly his father, are accomplished vocalists.  His father serves as a lead vocalist in the Trinidad and Tobago
Police Choir. Gerard’s mother is from Grenada and has also played a key role in his embryonic stage as a vocalist.

This young prolific vocalist is no amateur or stranger to the stage. Other than being in a ministry that was well known around the world, he was also the only major Caribbean lead worshiper that was featured in Atlanta via TBN .

Gerard has had the privilege to sing for such luminaries as the Queen of England in London through Chances for Children under the patronage of the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, President of the U.N.57th. General Assembly His Excellency Julian Robert Hunte, New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton,
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Senator John McCain, Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush and President Barack Obama .

Gerard resided in New York City for two years, prior to relocating to Georgia. He served not only his community but the New York State and City Council, working on community related projects and singing at Key engagements. Gerard also had the privilege to perform for former New York City Mayor
Rudolph Giuliani, and present New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
